A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring the Department of Buildings to notify the appropriate Council Member and Community Board whenever plans for the construction of a new building is approved.
Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. Article 9 of subchapter 1 of chapter 1 of title 27 of the administrative code of the city of New York, is amended by adding a new section 27-146.1 to read as follows:
§27-146.1 Notice to council members and community boards. Whenever the commissioner approves plans or amendments thereto in connection with an application for a new building work permit, as provided in article eleven of this subchapter, he or she shall, within twenty calendar days from the date of such approval, provide written notification of such approval to the council member and community board representing the area where the building premises is located.
§2. This local law shall take effect immediately.
