A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to increasing the fine for the consumption of alcohol in public.

 

Be it enacted by the Council as follows:

 

Section 1.  Subdivision e of section 10-125 of the administrative code of the city of new York is amended to read as follows:

e.  Any person who shall be found to have violated any of the provisions of this section shall be punished by a fine of not [more] less than twenty-five dollars ($25) but not more than one hundred fifty dollars ($150) or imprisonment up to five (5) days, or both, or pursuant to the provisions of the family court act of the state of New York where applicable.

§2.  This local law shall take effect 90 days after it shall have become a law.
