A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to the posting of warning signs by tattooists.

 

Be it enacted by the Council as follows:

                     Section 1.  Section 17-360 of the administrative code of the city of New York, as added by local law number 12 for the year 1997, is amended by adding a new subdivision to read as follows:

                     h.  A sign in a form prescribed by the commissioner, shall be conspicuously posted on the premises where the licensee is applying tattoos warning that the application of a tattoo is considered permanent and cannot be removed without a medical procedure.

                     §2. This local law shall take effect thirty days after its enactment into law.
