A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York in relation to the removal of raccoons.

 

Be it enacted by the Council as follows:

Section 1.  Chapter one of title 17 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 17-192 to read as follows:

§17-192 Raccoon removal. a. The department shall ensure the prompt removal of any raccoon from any outdoor public and private property upon receiving a request for such removal from a member of the public.

b. The department shall promulgate such rules as may be necessary to implement the provisions of this section.

§2. This local law shall take effect immediately.
