THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK

RESOLUTION NO. 1113

 

Resolution approving the decision of the City Planning Commission on ULURP No. C 030136 MMX, an amendment to the City Map (L.U. No. 518).

 

By Council Members Katz and Martinez

 

                     WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on June 27, 2005, its decision dated June 22, 2005 (the "Decision"), on the application submitted by New York Bus Service Advertising Company, pursuant to Sections 197-c and 199 of the New York City Charter and Section 5-430 et seq. of the New York City Administrative Code, for a change in the City Map involving: the elimination, discontinuance and closing of portions of the New England Thruway within an area bounded by Conner Street, Tillotson Avenue and Hollers Avenue and the Hutchinson River; the delineation of easements, the adjustment of grades necessitated thereby and any acquisition or disposition of real property related thereto, Community Districts 10 and 12, Borough of the Bronx, in accordance with Map No. 13091 dated January 2, 2003 and signed by the Borough President (ULURP No. C 030136 MMX) (the "Application");

 

                           WHEREAS, the Decision is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 197-d(b)(3) of the City Charter;

 

                           WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Decision and Application on July 26, 2005;

 

                           WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Decision and Application; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Negative Declaration, issued on January 31, 2005 (CEQR No. 03DCP024X);

 

RESOLVED:

 

                           The Council finds the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment.

                           Pursuant to Sections 197-d and 199 of the New York City Charter, the Council approves the Decision.
