A Local Law to amend the Administrative Code of the City of New York in relation to requiring the periodic review of instructional syllabi and training requirements for school safety officers.

 

Be it enacted by the Council as follows:

 

                     Section 1. Subdivision a of section 14-150 of chapter 1 of title 14 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended, by adding a new paragraph 8, to read as follows:

                     8. All academy, in-service, roll-call and other specialized department training materials and amendments thereto, as well as all patrol guide procedures newly promulgated or revised, distributed to school safety agents, except where disclosure of such material would reveal non-routine investigative techniques or confidential information or where disclosure could compromise the safety of the public or school safety agents or could otherwise compromise law enforcement investigations or operations.

                     §2. This local law shall take effect immediately upon enactment.
