A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to providing that all city employees employed in schools be required to take training in the use of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
 
 
Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
 
      Section 1.  Chapter 1 of Title 17 of the administrative code of the city of New York is hereby amended by adding thereto a new section 17-179 to read as follows:
      §17-179 All city employees, including administrative personnel and Paraprofessionals, employed in city schools shall be required to have a certificate of Proficiency in the use and practice of cardiopulmonary resuscitation issued by the commissioner or a public health organization certified by the commissioner.
      §2.      This local law shall take effect ninety days from enactment.
