RESOLUTION NO. 1040
Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the 63 Nassau Street Building, located at 63 Nassau Street (Block 65, Lot 2), Borough of Manhattan, Designation List No. 392, LP-2213 (L.U. No. 518; 20075539 HKM (N 070488 HKM).

WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on May 30, 2007, a copy of its designation dated May 15, 2007 (the "Designation"), of the 63 Nassau Street Building, located at 63 Nassau Street, Community District 1, Borough of Manhattan, as a landmark and Block 65, Lot 2, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;
WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on July 13, 2007 its report on the Designation dated July 11, 2007 (the "Report");
WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on September 5, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;
RESOLVED:
Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
