A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York in relation to the sealing of vacant buildings.
 
 
Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
 
      Section one.  Chapter one of title twenty-six of the administrative code of the city of New York is hereby amended by adding thereto a new section 26-235.5 to read as follows:
      §26.235.5  Sealing vacant buildings near schools.  Any property referred to in section 26.235 of this chapter, title and code, which is located within a one block radius of any building within which the New York City Board of Education conducts classes, shall be considered detrimental to the health and morals of the students, shall be given emergency status and shall be scaled before all other buildings awaiting such action.
      §2.      This local law shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
