A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to the suspension of alternate side of the street parking rules on certain days preceding or following major holidays.
 
Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
      Section 1. Section 19-163 of the administrative code of the city of New York, is amended by adding a new subdivision c to read as follows:
c. If  any New York state or national holiday falls on a Tuesday, all alternate side of the street parking rules shall be suspended on the Monday immediately preceding such holiday in addition to the day of such holiday.  If  any such state or national holiday falls on a Thursday, all alternate side of the street parking rules shall be suspended on the Friday immediately following such holiday in addition to the day of such holiday.  
      ยง2.  This local law shall take effect immediately.
