A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York in relation to exempting certain not-for-profit corporations from the unlawful eviction law.
 
 
Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
 
      Section 1.  Section 26-522 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new subdivision c to read as follows:
      c.      For the purposes of this chapter, an "owner" shall not include an owner that is a type A or type B not-for-profit corporation formed pursuant to and in compliance with the state not-for-profit corporation law, which maintains an active membership association if the use and occupancy of such owner's dwelling units are restricted to association members.
      ยง2.      This local law shall take effect immediately.
