Int 0085-2014 *Stephen T. Levin  Health and safety of youth football teams.IntroductionThis bill would require the presence of a doctor at youth tackle football games, and the presence of a doctor or athletic trainer at youth tackle football practices, and reporting to the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene on any injuries or concussions occurring at the game or practice. It would prohibit the participation of an individual under the age of 18 in a tackle football game or practice if they have been administered a concussion test. It would require the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to report on the number of concussions and injuries sustained in youth football, along with related data.
