Brewer  Establishing composting facilities in parks.IntroductionThis bill would require the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) to establish composting facilities for plant waste collection within at least 2 parks in each borough by July 1, 2026, at least 3 parks in each borough by July 1, 2027, and at least 5 parks in each borough by July 1, 2028. The operating hours of such beaches and outdoor pools would be extended from the current 10:00AM to 6:00PM to 8:00AM to 8:00PM.
