No. 733-A | Requiring the New York city department of education to report information on career and technical education programs in New York city public schools. | Introduction | This bill would require the Department of Education (DOE) to report annually to the Council regarding information related to Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, including: the number of CTE schools and programs available to students; the number and percentage of students enrolled in a CTE program; the number and percentage of students in a CTE program who engaged in a related internship; the number and percentage of students who applied to and enrolled in a CTE-designated high school; the number and percentage of students who, having completed a CTE program, subsequently completed a technical assessment, received a high school diploma, received industry credentials, enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college, or enrolled in a vocational program; the number of full-time and part-time certified CTE instructors; and, the number of professional development trainings administered by the DOE relating to CTE instruction.
