Int 0416-2026 *Justin E. Sanchez PreconsideredA pilot program regarding cleanliness and snow and ice removal from bus shelters, bike share stations, and public communications structures.IntroductionThis bill would require that by May 1, 2026, the New York City Departments of Sanitation (DSNY), Transportation (DOT), and Information Technology and Telecommunications (DoITT) establish a 2-year pilot program to encourage cleanliness and removal of snow and ice. Under such program, DSNY would be required to notify DOT or DoITT if DSNY observes dirty conditions or accumulation of snow or ice at any bus shelter, bike share station, or public communications structure. DOT or DoITT would then be required to instruct the structure's operator to remedy the condition, in accordance with their respective agreement with the City, and if the operator does not remedy the condition, DOT or DOITT would be required to take a relevant enforcement action. This bill would also require the submission of a report by November 1, 2028, on the pilot program.   Action details Not available
