No. 1773-AOffice of tourism recovery.IntroductionThis bill would establish an office of tourism recovery within the office of the mayor for a period of five years. Such office would be responsible for: (1) coordinating with city agencies to facilitate the recovery of the city’s tourism industry; (2) liaising between the public and the administration on issues relating to the tourism industry; (3) disseminating information on behalf of the city to concerns from local businesses and attractions relating to the city’s tourism recovery efforts; (4) responding on behalf of the city to concerns from tourists or potential tourists on the safety measures in place at various city attractions; and (5) working with city agencies to communicate tourism recovery efforts to other agencies and the general public. The office would be required to submit quarterly reports on tourism recovery efforts to the mayor and speaker.
