Introduction This bill would require the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) to make available FDA-approved methods of non-surgical contraception, as well as long-acting reversible contraception (LARC), which includes, but is not limited to, intrauterine devices and subdermal contraceptive implants. DOHMH would be required to make non-surgical contraception and LARC available at health centers, health stations, health clinics and other health facilities operated or maintained by DOHMH which also offer services relating to the diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases. Introduction This bill would impose certain requirements on businesses that offer bicycles for rent to the public and those who work for such businesses. In particular, such businesses would be required to register their names and addresses, maintain a roster of their workers and provide identification cards to their workers. While on duty, the workers would be required to carry their identification cards and wear apparel that identifies the business with which they are associated. Rosenthal ~SPONSOR Contracts Setting time limits for the procurement process, reporting on agency compliance and developing an online platform for managing procurement. Introduction This bill would require the procurement policy board (“PPB”) to set time limits within which agencies would be required to complete each step of the procurement process. The mayor’s office of contract services (“MOCS”) would be required to (1) assess whether each agency is complying with the time limits set by the PPB; (2) assess the difference between the time limits and the actual time required for each step of the procurement process; and (3) recommend changes to the time limits set by the PPB. MOCS would provide a report to the PPB, the Mayor and the Council and would post the report on its website. The PPB would be required to reevaluate and revise the timeframe goals based on the MOCS report. This bill would also require MOCS to develop an online platform that can be used for tracking contracts from the bid award to registration. The online platform would be publically available. Introduction This bill would require the Department of Social Services/Human Resources Administration (“DSS/HRA”) to report the total time a visitor spent at a job center or SNAP center and the additional time a visitor spent waiting in between appointments at a job center or SNAP center. Currently DSS/HRA is only required to report the amount of time a visitor of a job center spent waiting from when they have checked-in to when they are called to begin their first appointment.
