Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the 94 Greenwich Street House (aka 14-18 Rector Street) (Block 53, Lot 41), Borough of Manhattan, Designation List No. 414, LP-2218 (L.U. No. 1208; 20105020 HKM; N 100001 HKM).

WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on July 1, 2009 a copy of its designation dated June 23, 2009 (the "Designation"), of the 94 Greenwich Street House, located at 94 Greenwich Street (aka 14-18 Rector Street), Community District 1, Borough of Manhattan, as a landmark and Block 53, Lot 41, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on August 26, 2009 its report on the Designation dated August 19, 2009 (the "Report");

 

WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on September 22, 2009; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;

 

RESOLVED:

 

Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.

 

Adopted.
