A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to creating a map of areas restricted to vending.

 

Be it enacted by the Council as follows:

 

                     Section 1.  Subsection a of section 20-456 of the administrative code of the city of New York is hereby amended to read as follows:

a. 1. Upon the approval of an application the commissioner shall issue a license to the applicant.

2. Upon issuance of a license to the applicant, the commissioner shall provide the licensee with a map of the city of New York clearly identifying by block general vending limitations and/or restrictions as are listed in section 2-314 of the Rules of the city of New York, section 20-465 g of the Administrative Code of the city of New York, and New York General Business Law Article 4, Section 35-a. 

§2. Subsection d of section 17-309 of the administrative code of the city of New York is hereby amended to read as follows:

                      d.  1.  Upon approval of an application the commissioner shall issue a license to the applicant for a license and a permit and plate to the applicant for a vehicle or pushcart permit. Such license shall contain the name and address of the licensee, his or her license number and a non-removable photograph of such licensee.

2.  Upon issuance of a license to the applicant, the commissioner shall provide the licensee with a map of the Borough of Manhattan clearly identifying by block such food vending restrictions as are listed in section 17-315(l).

§3.  This local law shall become effective one hundred and eighty days after it shall have been enacted into law except that prior to such effective date the commissioners of the affected departments may promulgate rules or take any other action necessary for implementation of this local law.
