A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to the parking, standing and stopping of commercial vehicles.

 

Be it enacted by the Council as follows:

 

Section 1. Title 19 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 19-170.1 as follows:

§19-170.1 Parking, standing and stopping of commercial vehicles.  Notwithstanding any other law, rule or regulation, any motor vehicle bearing commercial plates and designed, maintained or used primarily for the transportation of property or for the provision of commercial services, shall be deemed to be a commercial vehicle, regardless of whether or not such vehicle contains seats for passengers in addition to the front seats.

§2. This local law shall take effect sixty days after its enactment into law.
