A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to dividing the 109th precinct into two distinct subdivisions.

 

Be it enacted by the Council as follows:

 

Section 1. Chapter 1 of Title 14 of the administrative code of the city of New York is hereby amended by adding a new section 14-152 to read as follows:

§14-152. Boundaries of the 109th Precinct.

                     The New York City Police Department shall divide the 109th Precinct into two separate subdivisions, one subdivision representing “Flushing South”, and the other representing the “North Shore - College Point, Whitestone, Clearview and Bay Terrace”.  All corresponding boundaries shall be determined by the Commissioner, in accordance with the regulations of the Department, whereupon, the Department shall allocate such resources necessary to establish and support both precinct subdivisions.

§2. This local law shall take effect 120 days after its enactment into law.
