RESOLUTION NO. 1842

 

Resolution approving the site plan for a 665-Seat Primary/Intermediate School Facility to be located at 153-26 Hillside Avenue and 153-33 88th Avenue (Tax Block 9763, Tax Lots 23, 25, 26, 47, and 51), Borough of Queens (Non-ULURP No. 20095328 SCQ; L.U. No. 996).

                          WHEREAS, the New York City School Construction Authority submitted to the Council on February 18, 2009, a site plan pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law for a new approximately 665-Seat Primary/Intermediate School Facility, known as P.S./I.S. 277, Queens  to be located at 153-26 Hillside Avenue and 153-33 88th Avenue (Tax Block 9763, Tax Lots 23, 25, 26, 47, and 51), Borough of Queens, Community Board No. 12, Borough of Queens, Community School District No. 28 (the "Site Plan");

 

                         WHEREAS, the Site Plan is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law;

 

                          WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Site Plan on February 23, 2009;

 

                     WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Negative Declaration issued on February 12, 2009 (SEQR Project Number 09-004); and

 

                           WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Site Plan;

 

RESOLVED:

 

                     The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment.

                                                                                                                                                        

                           Pursuant to Section 1732 of the Public Authorities Law, the Council approves the Site Plan.
