RESOLUTION NO. 1789

 

 

Resolution approving the decision of the City Planning Commission on ULURP No. C 080533 PCY (L.U. No. 958), for the site selection and acquisition of easements (Block 2543, p/o Lot 1 and Block 2583, p/o Lot 2), Borough of the Bronx, Community District 1 and Borough of Manhattan, Community District 11, for use as a pedestrian and bicycle pathway.

                           WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on December 19, 2008 its decision dated December 17, 2008 (the "Decision") on the application submitted pursuant to Section 197-c of the New York City Charter by the Department of Transportation, the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Department of Citywide Administrative Services for the site selection and acquisition of easements (Block 2543, p/o Lot 1 and Block 2583, p/o Lot 2), Borough of the Bronx, Community District 1 and Borough of Manhattan, Community District 11 (the "Site"), for use as a pedestrian and bicycle pathway, (ULURP No. C 080533 PCY) (the "Application");

 

                           WHEREAS, the Decision is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 197-d(b)(3) of the City Charter;

 

                           WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Decision and Application on January 26, 2009;

 

                           WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Decision and Application; and

 

                           WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Negative Declaration, issued on April 11, 2008 (CEQR No. 08SBS005X);

 

RESOLVED:

 

                     The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment.

 

                     Pursuant to Section 197-d of the City Charter and on the basis of the Application and Decision, the Council approves the Decision.
