RESOLUTION NO. 1447

 

Resolution approving the site plan for a new, approximately 650-Seat Primary/Intermediate School Facility to be located on the east side of 155th Street between 108th and 109th Avenues (Tax Block 10144, Tax Lot 42 in portion), Borough of Queens (Non-ULURP No. 20085164 SCQ; L.U. No. 767).

                          WHEREAS, the New York City School Construction Authority submitted to the Council on May 15, 2008, a site plan pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law for a New, Approximately 650-Seat Primary/Intermediate School Facility (P.S./I.S. 48, Queens)  to be located on the east side of 155th Street between 108th and 109th Avenues (Tax Block 10144, Tax Lot 42 in portion),, Community Board No. 12,  Borough of  Queens, Community School District No. 28 (the "Site Plan");

 

                         WHEREAS, the Site Plan is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law;

 

                          WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Site Plan on May 20, 2008;

 

                     WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Negative Declaration issued on May 12, 2008 (SEQR Project Number 08-009); and

 

                           WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Site Plan;

 

RESOLVED:

 

                     The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment.

                                                                                                                                                        

                           Pursuant to Section 1732 of the Public Authorities Law, the Council approves the Site Plan.
