RESOLUTION NO. 1293
Resolution approving the decision of the City Planning Commission on ULURP No. C 080044 PQM (L.U. No. 663), for the acquisition of property located at 2282-2284 Frederick Douglass Boulevard (Block 1928, Lots 3, 4, 62, 63, and 64), Borough of Manhattan, for use as impounded vehicle storage.

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on January 11, 2008 its decision dated January 9, 2008 (the "Decision") on the application submitted pursuant to Section 197-c of the New York City Charter by the Police Department and the Department of Citywide Administrative Services for property located at 2282-2284 Frederick Douglass Boulevard (Block 1928, Lots 3, 4, 62, 63, and 64), Community District 10, Borough of Manhattan (the "Site"), for use as an impounded vehicle storage facility (ULURP No. C 080044 PQM) (the "Application");
WHEREAS, the Application is related to ULURP Application Number C 080043 HAM (L.U. No. 662), an urban development action area project designation and project approval and disposition of city-owned property;
WHEREAS, the Decision is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 197-d(b)(2) and (3) of the City Charter;
WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Decision and Application on February 27, 2008;
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental review (CEQR No. 07HPD03M) and the fact that a Negative Declaration was issued on July 30, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Decision and Application;
RESOLVED:
The Council finds that the actions described herein will have no significant effect on the environment;
Pursuant to Section 197-d of the City Charter and on the basis of the Application and Decision, the Council approves the Decision.
