THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK

RESOLUTION NO. 1275

 

Resolution approving the site plan for a new, approximately 380-Seat Early Childhood Center to be located at 6214 4th Avenue (Block 5799, Lot 38), Borough of Brooklyn (Non-ULURP No. 20085007 SCK; L.U. No. 676).

 

By Council Members Katz and Lappin

 

                          WHEREAS, the New York City School Construction Authority submitted to the Council on January 31, 2008, a site plan pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law for a New, Approximately 380-Seat Early Childhood Center to be located at 6214 4th Avenue (Block 5799, Lot 38), Borough of Brooklyn, Community Board No. 7, Community School District No. 20 (the "Site Plan");

 

                         WHEREAS, the Site Plan is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law;

 

                          WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Site Plan on February 6, 2008;

 

                     WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Negative Declaration issued on January 24, 2008 (SEQR Project Number 08-004); and

 

                           WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Site Plan;

 

RESOLVED:

 

                     The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                  

                           Pursuant to Section 1732 of the Public Authorities Law, the Council approves the Site Plan.
