RESOLUTION NO. 1071

 

Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Crotona Play Center Bath House (Main Floor Interior), located at Fulton Avenue between East 172nd Street and East 173rd Street (Block 2941, part of Lot 1), Borough of the Bronx, Designation List No. 393, LP-2233 (L.U. No. 552; 20085030 HKX (N 080007 HKX).

WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on July 10, 2007, a copy of its designation dated June 26, 2007 (the "Designation"), of the Crotona Play Center Bath House (Main Floor Interior), located at Fulton Avenue between East 172nd Street and East 173rd Street, Community District 3, Borough of the Bronx, as a historic landmark and Block 2941, part of Lot 1, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on September 4, 2007 its report on the Designation dated September 4, 2007 (the "Report");

 

WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on September 17, 2007; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;

 

RESOLVED:

 

Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
