THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK

RESOLUTION NO. 973

 

Resolution approving the decision of the City Planning Commission on ULURP No. C 070078 MMQ, an amendment to the City Map (L.U. No. 483).

 

By Council Members Katz and Garodnick

 

                           WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on June 27, 2007 its decision dated June 20, 2007 (the "Decision"), on the application submitted by the New York City Department of Transportation and the Economic Development Corporation, pursuant to Sections 197-c and 199 of the New York City Charter for a change in the City Map involving:

 

                     the widening and realignment of Archer Avenue between 144th Place and 147th Place;

 

                     the establishment of Public Places between 144th Place and 147th Place;

 

                     the adjustment of grades necessitated thereby; and

 

                     any acquisition or disposition of real properties related thereto,

 

in accordance with Map No. 4991 dated December 12, 2006, revised June 15, 2007, and Map No.4997 dated June 15, 2007, both signed by the Borough President, Community District 12, Borough of Queens (ULURP No. C 070078 MMQ) (the "Application");

 

                           WHEREAS, the Decision is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 197-d(b)(3) of the City Charter;

 

                           WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Decision and Application on July 23, 2007;

 

                           WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Decision and Application; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Negative Declaration, issued on January 12, 2007 (CEQR No. 07DOT002Q);

 

 

 

RESOLVED:

 

                           The Council finds the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment.

 

                           Pursuant to Sections 197-d and 199 of the New York City Charter, the Council approves the Decision.
