RESOLUTION NO. 820

 

Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Church of All Saints (Roman Catholic) Parish House and School located at 47 East 129th Street (aka 50-52 East 130th Street, 2041-2053 Madison Avenue, and 41-45 East 129th Street) (Block 1754, Lots 20 and 24), Manhattan, Designation List No. 385, LP-2165 (Preconsidered L.U. No. 415; 20075239 HKM; N 070329 HKM).

WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on February 9, 2007, a copy of its designation dated January 30, 2007 (the "Designation"), of the Church of All Saints (Roman Catholic) Parish House and School located at 47 East 129th Street (aka 50-52 East 130th Street, 2041-2053 Madison Avenue, and 41-45 East 129th Street), Community District 11, Borough of Manhattan, as a landmark and Block 1754, Lots 20 and 24, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on March 30, 2007 its report on the Designation dated March 28, 2007 (the "Report");

 

WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on April 11, 2007; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;

 

RESOLVED:

 

Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
