THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK

RESOLUTION NO. 770

 

Resolution approving the site plan for a public school facility to be located on the southeast corner of 102nd Street and 88th Avenue (Block 9288/Lots 101 and 106), Queens (Non-ULURP No. 20075013 SCQ; Preconsidered L.U. No. 390).

 

By Council Members Katz and Lappin

 

                          WHEREAS, the New York City School Construction Authority submitted to the Council on March 1, 2007 a site plan pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law for a new, approximately 380-seat early childhood center, known as P.S. 273- Queens, to be located at the Southeast Corner of 102nd Street and 88th Avenue, Richmond Hill (Block 9288/Lots 101 and 106), in DOE Instructional Region No. 5/Community School District No. 27, Community Board No. 9, Borough of Queens (the "Site Plan");

 

                         WHEREAS, the Site Plan is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law;

 

                          WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Site Plan on March 6, 2007;

 

                     WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Conditional Negative Declaration issued on January 29, 2007 (SEQR Project Number 07-007); and

 

                     WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Site Plan;

 

RESOLVED:

                               

                     The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment.

                                                                                                                                                                                                           

                           Pursuant to Section 1732 of the Public Authorities Law, the Council approves the Site Plan.
