RESOLUTION NO. 684

 

Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of George B. and Susan Elkins House, located at 1375 Dean Street (Block 1209, Lot 62), Brooklyn, Designation List No. 381, LP-2207 (Preconsidered L.U. No. 363; 20075141 HKK; N 070197 HKK).

WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on November 6, 2006 a copy of its designation dated October 24, 2006 (the "Designation"), of George B. and Susan Elkins House located at 1375 Dean Street, Community District 8, Borough of Brooklyn, as a landmark and Block 1209, Lot 62, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on December 22, 2006, its report on the Designation dated December 20, 2006 (the "Report");

 

WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on January 8, 2007; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;

 

RESOLVED:

 

Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
