THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK

RESOLUTION NO. 566

 

Resolution approving the site plan for an early childhood center facility to be located at 3771 Boston Road (Block 4894, Lot 1), the Bronx (Non-ULURP No. 20065080 SCX; L.U. No. 276).

 

By Council Members Katz and Lappin

 

                          WHEREAS, the New York City School Construction Authority submitted to the Council on September 28, 2006, a site plan pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law for a New, Approximately 440-Seat Early Childhood Center facility to serve students in pre-kindergarten through third grade, to be located at 3771 Boston Road (Block 4894, Lot 1), DOE Instructional Region No. 2/Community School District 11, Community District 12, Borough of the Bronx (the "Site Plan");

 

                         WHEREAS, the Site Plan is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law;

 

                          WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Site Plan on October 3, 2006;

 

                     WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Conditioned Negative Declaration issued August 22, 2006 (SEQR Project Number 07-002); and

 

                           WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Site Plan;

 

RESOLVED:

 

                          The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment provided the measures enumerated in the Notice of Determination of Non-Significance, attached hereto as Appendix A, are implemented.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            

                           Pursuant to Section 1732 of the Public Authorities Law, the Council approves the Site Plan.
