RESOLUTION NO. 485

 

Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Theodore F. and Elizabeth J. De Hart House, located at 134 Main Street (Block 8028, Lot 63), Staten Island, Designation List No. 374, LP-2192 (L.U. No. 185; 20065521 HKR; N 060512 HKR).

WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on May 24, 2006 a copy of its designation dated May 16, 2006 (the "Designation"), of the Theodore F. and Elizabeth J. DeHart House, located at 134 Main Street, Community District 3, Borough of Staten Island, as a landmark and Block 8028, Lot 63, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on July 14, 2006, its report on the Designation dated July 12, 2006 (the "Report");

 

WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on August 14, 2006; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;

 

RESOLVED:

 

Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
