RESOLUTION NO. 475

 

Resolution to amend Res. No. 1083 for 1999 which approved a partial tax exemption from real property taxes for a property located at 713 Tilden Street, (Block 4659, Lot 84), the Bronx, pursuant to Section 422 of the Real Property Tax Law (Preconsidered L.U. No. 221)

WHEREAS, On November 23, 1999, New York City Council adopted Res. No.1083 for 1999 approving a partial tax exemption for 6-story building that provides 45 units of rental housing for elderly persons of low income under the Section 202 Supportive Housing Program.

 

WHEREAS, HPD has informed the Council that Res. No.1083, attached herein, contained incomplete information regarding properties contained within the Exemption Area.

 

                     WHEREAS, HPD in its letter dated January 10, 2006 informed the Council that the Exemption Area should be comprised of 713 Tilden Street (Block 4659, Lots 1 and 84), Borough of the Bronx (the “Exemption Area”).” 

 

RESOLVED:

 

The Council hereby amends Res. No. 1083 for 1999 by repealing the title and replacing it with a title to read as follows: “Resolution approving a partial tax exemption from real property taxes for a property located at 713 Tilden Street (Block 4659, Lots 1 and 84), the Bronx pursuant to Section 422 of the Real Property Tax Law (Preconsidered L.U. No. 595),” and repealing the first “whereas” clause and replacing it with a whereas clause to read as follows” “WHEREAS, the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (“HPD”) submitted to the Council its request dated November 3, 1999 that the Council take the following action regarding a housing project to be located at 713 Tilden Street (Block 4659, Lots 1 and 84), Borough of the Bronx (the “Exemption Area).”  

 

Adopted.
