THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK

RESOLUTION NO. 318

 

Resolution approving the decision of the City Planning Commission on ULURP No. C 060078 PCK (L.U. No. 118), a site selection and acquisition of property located at 930 Flushing Avenue (Block 3140/part of Lot 1), Brooklyn, for use as a warehouse.

                           WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on March 27, 2006 its decision dated March 22, 2006 (the "Decision") on the application submitted pursuant to Section 197-c of the New York City Charter by the Office of Emergency Management and the Department of Citywide Administrative Services for site selection and acquisition of property located at 930 Flushing Avenue (Block 3140/part of Lot 1), Community District 4, Borough of Brooklyn (the "Site"), for use as a warehouse (ULURP No. C 060078 PCK) (the "Application");

 

                           WHEREAS, the Decision is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 197-d(b)(3) of the City Charter;

 

                           WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Decision and Application on May 2, 2006;

 

                     WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Negative Declaration, issued on May 11, 2005 (CEQR No. 05OEM001K);

 

                           WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Decision and Application;

 

RESOLVED:

 

                     The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment.

 

                     Pursuant to Section 197-d of the City Charter and on the basis of the Application and Decision, the Council approves the Decision.
