THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK

RESOLUTION NO. 1203

 

Resolution approving the site plan for a primary/intermediate public school facility to be located at the southwest corner of Jamaica Avenue and Richmond Street in the Cypress Hills area of Brooklyn (Block 4102, Lots 19, 27, 33, 35 and 36), Brooklyn (Non-ULURP No. 20065023 SCK; L.U. No. 550).

                          WHEREAS, the New York City School Construction Authority submitted to the Council on September 30, 2005, a site plan pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law for a New 630-seat Primary/Intermediate School Facility to be located at the southwest corner of Jamaica Avenue and Richmond Street in the Cypress Hills section of Brooklyn (Block 4102, Lots 19, 27, 33, 35 and 36) in DOE Region No. 5/Community School District No. 19, Community District 5, Borough of Brooklyn (the "Site Plan");

 

                         WHEREAS, the Site Plan is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law;

 

                          WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Site Plan on October 7, 2005;

 

                     WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Conditional Negative Declaration issued on July 13, 2005 (SEQR Project Number 06-001); and

 

                           WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Site Plan;

 

RESOLVED:

 

                            The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment;

                                                                                                                                                                                                           

                           Pursuant to Section 1732 of the Public Authorities Law, the Council approves the Site Plan.
