RESOLUTION NO. 1137
Resolution approving the decision of the City Planning Commission on ULURP No. C 050318 PQX (L.U. No. 440), for the acquisition of property located at 1404 Jesup Avenue (Block 2872, Lots 58 and 60); 1407 Jesup Avenue (Block 2872, Lot 35); 1418 Jesup Avenue (Block 2872, Lot 62); 1426 Jesup Avenue (Block 2872, Lot 66); 1430 Jesup Avenue (Block 2872, Lot 68); and 1450 Jesup Avenue (Block 2872, Lot 189), the Bronx, to facilitate the development of 4 buildings.

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on July 19, 2005 its decision dated July 13, 2005 (the "Decision") on the application submitted pursuant to Section 197-c of the New York City Charter by the Department of Housing Preservation and Development for the acquisition of property located at 1404 Jesup Avenue (Block 2872, Lots 58 and 60); 1407 Jesup Avenue (Block 2872, Lot 35); 1418 Jesup Avenue (Block 2872, Lot 62); 1426 Jesup Avenue (Block 2872, Lot 66); 1430 Jesup Avenue (Block 2872, Lot 68); and 1450 Jesup Avenue (Block 2872, Lot 189); Community District 4, Borough of the Bronx (the "Site"), to facilitate the development of four buildings, tentatively known as Highbridge Apartments, with approximately 315 residential units for low-income families (ULURP No. C 050318 PQX) (the "Application");
WHEREAS, the Application is related to Application Number C 050311 HAX (L.U. No. 439), an urban development action area project designation and project approval and disposition of property;
WHEREAS, the Decision is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 197-d(b)(2) and (3) of the City Charter;
WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Decision and Application on August 15, 2005;
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Decision and Application; and

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Negative Declaration, issued on February 1, 2005 (CEQR No. 05HPD015X);
RESOLVED:
The Council finds that the actions described herein will have no significant effect on the environment;
Pursuant to Section 197-d of the City Charter and on the basis of the Application and Decision, the Council approves the Decision.
