THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK

RESOLUTION NO. 1116

 

Resolution approving the site plan for a new 500-seat primary/intermediate public school facility located at 965 East 107th Street (Block 8215/Lots 12 and 21), Brooklyn (Non-ULURP No. 20065017 SCK; L.U. No. 522).

 

By Council Members Katz and Felder

 

                          WHEREAS, the New York City School Construction Authority submitted to the Council on June 18, 2005, a site plan pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law for a New 500-Seat Primary/Intermediate School Facility to be located at 965 East 107th Street (Block 8215/Lots 12 and 21) in DOE Region No. 6, Community District 18, Canarsie in the Borough of Brooklyn (the "Site Plan");

 

                         WHEREAS, the Site Plan is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law;

 

                          WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Site Plan on July 25, 2005;

 

                     WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Conditional Negative Declaration issued on April 19, 2005 (SEQR Project Number 05-011); and

 

                           WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Site Plan;

 

RESOLVED:

                                                                                                                                                                                                                  

                           Pursuant to Section 1732 of the Public Authorities Law, the Council approves the Site Plan.
