THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK

RESOLUTION NO. 780

 

Resolution approving the decision of the City Planning Commission on ULURP No. C 030020 PPK, for the removal of the community facility use only restriction on property located at the corner of 56th Street and Second Avenue (Block 836/part of Lot 19), Brooklyn (L.U. No. 375).

                         WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on December 15, 2004 its decision dated December 8, 2004 (the "Decision") on the application submitted pursuant to Section 197-c of the New York City Charter by the Department of Citywide Administrative Services, for the removal of the “Community Facility Use Only” restriction on property located at the corner of 56th Street and Second Avenue (Block 836/part of Lot 19), Community District 7, Borough of Brooklyn, (ULURP No. C 030020 PPK) (the "Application");

 

                     WHEREAS, the Application is related to ULURP Application Number C 020573 ZMK (L.U. No. 374), an amendment to the Zoning Map;

 

                         WHEREAS, the Decision is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 197-d(b)(3) of the City Charter;

 

                         WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Decision and Application on January 11, 2005; and

 

                           WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Conditional Negative Declaration, issued on November 1, 2004 (CEQR No. 02DCP049K); and

 

                         WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Decision and Application;

 

RESOLVED:

 

                         Pursuant to Section 197-d of the City Charter and on the basis of the Application and the Decision the Council approves the Decision.
