RESOLUTION NO. 583

 

Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Avenue H Station House located at 802 East 16th Street (Block 6600, Lot 119-431 in part), Brooklyn, Designation List No. 355, LP-2158 (L.U. No. 250; 20055020 HKK; N 050013 HKK).

                     WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on July 8, 2004 a copy of its designation dated June 29, 2004 (the "Designation"), of the Avenue H Station House, located at 802 East 16th Street (a.k.a. 1518-1524 Avenue H), Community District 14, Borough of Brooklyn as a landmark and Block 6600, Lot 119-431 (in part) as its landmark site, pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on August 16, 2004 its report on the Designation dated August 11, 2004 (the "Report");

 

WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on September 7, 2004; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;

 

RESOLVED:

 

Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
