RESOLUTION NO. 505

 

Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the F. J. Berlenbach House located at 174 Meserole Street, Designation List No. 352, LP-2152; (L.U. No. 210; 20045617 HKK; N 040463 HKK).

 

By Council Members Katz and Felder

 

                     WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on May 14, 2004 a copy of its designation dated May 11, 2004 (the "Designation"), of the F. J. Berlenbach House located at 174 Meserole Street, Community District 1, Borough of Brooklyn, as a landmark and Block 3053/Lot 13, as its landmark site, pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on June 29, 2004, its report on the Designation dated June 23, 2004 (the "Report");

 

WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on July 19, 2004; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;

 

RESOLVED:

 

Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.

 

Adopted.
