THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK

RESOLUTION NO. 315

 

 

Resolution approving the site plan for a public school facility known as P.S. 260-Queens to be located at 99-02 through 99-20 Roosevelt Avenue in Corona, Queens (Non-ULURP No. 20035224 SCQ; L.U. No. 130).

                          WHEREAS, the New York City School Construction Authority submitted to the Council on April 15, 2004, a site plan pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law for a new 650-seat primary school facility known as Public School 260- Queens (P.S. 260-Q) in Community School District 24, to accommodate pre-kindergarten through fifth grade students to be located at 99-02 through 99-20 Roosevelt Avenue in Corona (Block 1608/Lots 1, 8, 14, and p/o 17), Community District 4, Borough of Queens (the "Site Plan");

 

                         WHEREAS, the Site Plan is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law;

 

                          WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Site Plan on April 19, 2004;

 

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Conditioned Negative Declaration issued on December 19, 2003 (SCA Project Number 03-006); and

 

                           WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Site Plan;

 

RESOLVED:

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

                          The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment;

 

                     Pursuant to Section 1732 of the Public Authorities Law, the Council approves the Site Plan.
