RESOLUTION NO. 316

 

 

Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Thomson Meter Company Building (later New York Eskimo Pie Corporation Building) located at 100-110 Bridge Street (a.k.a. 158-166 York Street), Brooklyn, Designation List No. 350, LP-2139 (L.U. No. 135; 20045384 HKK; N 040295 HKK).

WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on February 19, 2004 a copy of its designation dated February 10, 2004 (the "Designation"), of the Thomson Meter Company Building (later New York Eskimo Pie Corporation Building), located at 100-110 Bridge Street (a.k.a. 158-166 York Street), Borough of Brooklyn, as a landmark and Block 66, Lot 18 in part, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;

 

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on April 2, 2004, its report on the Designation dated March 24, 2004 (the "Report");

 

WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on April 19, 2004; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;

 

RESOLVED:

 

Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
