THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 1237 Title Resolution approving the site plan for Public School 262-Queens (P.S. 262-Q), located generally by 89th Avenue to the north, 91st Avenue to the south, 96th Street to the east, and Woodhaven Boulevard to the west, (Block 8975, Lot 1 in portion), Queens (Non-ULURP No. 20045204 SCQ; L.U. No. 632). Body By Council Members Katz and Felder WHEREAS, the New York City School Construction Authority submitted to the Council on December 8, 2003, a site plan pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law for a public school facility known as P.S. 262-Queens, an early childhood center, with a capacity of 400 seats to serve pre-kindergarten through third grades, Community School District 27/Instructional Division No. 5, to be located generally by 89th Avenue to the north, 91st Avenue to the south, 96th Street to the east, and Woodhaven Boulevard to the west, (Block 8975, Lot 1 in portion), an approximately 38,000 square foot rectangular portion of the grounds formerly occupied by St. Anthony's Hospital; and any other property in the immediate area which may be necessary for the proposed project, Borough of Queens (the "Site Plan"); WHEREAS, the Site Plan is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law; WHEREAS, the Council held a public hearing on the Site Plan on December 9, 2003; WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Conditional Negative Declaration issued on November 6, 2003 (SCA Project Number 03-003); and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Site Plan; _________ Page 2 of 2 20045204 SCQ Res.
