THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 1076 Title Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Williamsburg Houses located at 229-247 Graham Avenue (Block 3025, Lot 46; Block 3026, Lot 1; Block 3027, Lot 1), Brooklyn, Designation List No. 348, LP-2135 (L.U. No. 512; 20045006 HKK; N 040009 HKK). Body By Council Members Katz and Felder WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on July 3, 2003 a copy of its designation dated June 24, 2003 (the "Designation"), of the Williamsburg Houses located at 229-247 Graham Avenue, Community District 1, Borough of Brooklyn, as landmarks and Block 3025, Lot 46; Block 3026, Lot 1; Block 3027, Lot 1, as their landmark sites pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter; WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on August 29, 2003, its report on the Designation dated August 27, 2003 (the "Report"); WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on September 23, 2003; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation; RESOLVED: Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
