THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 1075 Title Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the NoHo East Historic District, Manhattan, Designation List No. 348, LP-2129 (L.U. No. 511; 20045003 HKM; N 040007 HKM). Body By Council Members Katz and Felder WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on July 3, 2003 a copy of its designation dated June 24, 2003 (the "Designation"), of the NoHo East Historic District generally bounded by the Bowery to the east, Houston Street to the south, a line mid point between Bleecker and Bond Streets to the north and Lafayette Street to the west, Community District 2, Borough of Manhattan, as a landmark pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter; WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on August 29, 2003, its report on the Designation dated August 27, 2003 (the "Report"); WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on September 23, 2003; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation; RESOLVED: Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
