THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 425 Title Resolution approving the decision of the City Planning Commission on ULURP No. C 020097 ZMK, a Zoning Map change (L.U. No. 216). Body By Council Members Katz and Avella WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on June 28, 2002 its decision dated June 26, 2002 (the "Decision"), on the application submitted by Brooklyn Law School, pursuant to Sections 197-c and 201 of the New York City Charter, for an amendment to the Zoning Map (ULURP No. C 020097 ZMK) (the "Application"); WHEREAS, the Application is related to ULURP Application Number C 020098 ZSK (L.U. No. 217), a special permit pursuant to Section 74-52 of the Zoning Resolution; WHEREAS, the Decision is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 197-d(b)(1) of the City Charter; WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Decision and Application on July 22, 2002; WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Decision and Application; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the Negative Declaration, issued on March 20, 2002 (CEQR No. 02DCP041K); RESOLVED: The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment. _________ Page 2 of 2 C 020097 ZMK Res. No. 425 (L.U. No. 216) Pursuant to Sections 197-d and 200 of the City Charter and on the basis of the Decision and Application, the Council approves the Decision. The Zoning Resolution of the City of New York, effective as of December 15, 1961, and as subsequently amended, is further amended by changing the Zoning Map, Section No. 16c: a. changing from a C5-2A District to a C5-4 District property bounded by Joralemon Street, Boerum Place, Livingston Street, and a line 215 feet westerly of Boerum Place; and b. changing from a C6-2A District to a C5-4 District property bounded by Livingston Street, Boerum Place, State Street, and a line 215 feet northwesterly of Boerum Place; within the Special Downtown Brooklyn District, as shown on a diagram (for illustrative purposes only) dated March 20, 2002, Community District 2, Borough of Brooklyn, and which includes the environmental designation E-111.
