THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 301 Title Resolution approving a motion to file pursuant to withdrawal on an application submitted by the Department of Housing Preservation and Development ("HPD"), Non-ULURP No. N 020069 HAM, approving the designation of 225, 227, 229, 231/33, 235/37, 239 and 241 East 118th Street (Block 1783/Lots 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 117 and 18), Manhattan, as an Urban Development Action Area (the "Area"), and approving the project for the area as an Urban Development Action Area Project (L.U. No. 148; N 020069 HAM). Body By Council Members Katz and Martinez WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on April 9, 2002 its decision dated April 3, 2002 (the "Decision"), on the application submitted by the Department of Housing Preservation and Development pursuant to Article 16 of the General Municipal Law of New York State regarding: a) the designation of 225, 227, 229, 231/33, 235/37, 239 and 241 East 118th Street (Block 1783/Lots 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 117 and 18), as an Urban Development Action Area (the "Area"); and b) an Urban Development Action Area Project for such area (the "Project"); to facilitate the development of a six-story building known as the Greater Emmanuel LESC Residence, with 72 units of housing for formally homeless, low-income persons with disabilities and one superintendent's unit, developed under the New York State's Permanent Housing for Homeless Families Program, Community District 11, Borough of Manhattan (No. N 020069 HAM) (the "Application"); WHEREAS, the Application is related to ULURP Application Number C 990287 PPM (L.U. No. 623; Res. 1201 of 2000); WHEREAS, the Decision is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 197-d(b)(3) of the City Charter; ________ Page 2 of 2 N 020069 HAM Res. No. 301 (L.U. No. 148) WHEREAS, pursuant to Title 62 Section 2-02(d) of the Rules of the City of New York by memorandum dated May 3, 2002 the Department of Housing Preservation and Development withdrew the application. RESOLVED: Pursuant to Section 11.60 of the Rules of the Council, the Council approves the motion to file pursuant to withdrawal. Adopted.
