RESOLUTION NO. 2186

 

Resolution approving the acquisition of office space located at 25 Chapel Street (Block 118/Lot 6), Brooklyn (20025140 PXK; N 020174 PXK; L.U. No. 1284).

 

By Council Members Eisland and Sabini

 

                     WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on December 6, 2001 its approval dated December 5, 2001 of the notice of intent to acquire office space submitted pursuant to Section 195 of the New York City Charter by the Department of Citywide Administrative Services, for the acquisition of office space in a 12-story building located at 25 Chapel Street (Block 118/Lot 6), Community District 2, Borough of Brooklyn, for use by the Human Resources Administration, Veterans’ Service Center (the “Acquisition”);

 

                     WHEREAS, the Acquisition is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 195(d) of the City Charter;

 

                     WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Acquisition of December 18, 2001; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Acquisition;

 

RESOLVED:

 

                     The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment.

 

                     Pursuant to Section 195 of the City Charter, the Council approves the Acquisition.
