No. 1223). Body By Council Member Eisland and Sabini WHEREAS, the Office of the Mayor of the City of New York filed with the Council on October 22, 2001, pursuant to Section 704(g) of the New York City Charter, a proposed lease between the New York City Department of Transportation and Port Imperial Ferry Corporation, d/b/a New York Waterway, of city-owned wharf property located at Pier 79, North River and Marginal Street between West 38th Street and West 40th Street and certain upland area (Block 665/Lots 14, 19 and 999), Borough of Manhattan; WHEREAS, the Lease is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 704 of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Lease on November 16, 2001; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Lease; RESOLVED: Pursuant to Section 704 of the New York City Charter, the Council approves the Lease, a copy of which is attached hereto.
